Increase urine flow in patients w/ acute renal failure, reduce raised ICP & treat cerebral edema. Short-term management of glaucoma especially to reduce IOP prior to ophth surgery & to excrete toxic substances by forced diuresis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
IV infusionAdult 50-100 g. Childn 0.25-2 g/kg. Reduction of ICP or IOP 0.25-2 g/kg over 3-60 min. Renal failure 200 mg/kg over 3-5 min.
